DESCRIPTION:Join us on Thursday\, October 24\, 2019 for our first meeting of the 2019-2020 term to learn about: \nMaryland’s Only Marriage Lawyer: Old Laws and Weird Writs \nIn March\, Joe Dudek joined the Courts and Judicial Affairs Division of the Attorney General’s Office.  The four-lawyer division advises and defends the State’s courts\, judges\, circuit court clerks\, registers of wills\, quasi-judicial executive agencies\, and court-specific ethics commissions.  He will talk on the oddest parts of that assignment—the comically complicated regulation of Maryland marriage licenses\, the original jurisdiction of the Court of Appeals\, and changes affecting public access to court records. \nRegistration for dinner will close on Monday\, October 21\, 2019 @ 5:00 pm. \n***Please indicate any food restrictions.
